Business Environment: SWFL Rotary Builds Stronger Skills
October 7th, 2026

Business environment gets stronger when people share what they know. Here in Charlotte County, that kind of practical knowledge can be just as valuable as a new connection or introduction.
Business Environment Grows Through Shared Skills
SWFL Rotary is putting that idea to work through its Rotary Means Business initiative. The program goes beyond traditional networking by offering free education and professional development for businesses, nonprofits and community members across Southwest Florida. Its approach combines service, social connection and business support.
Recent sessions focused on skills people can use right away.
Priya Ahluwalia led a Social Media for Businesses & Nonprofits class focused on storytelling, audience connection and growth. Attorney Ned Hale led Get It in Writing, covering contracts, written agreements and clear documentation. Alex Felker also led a public speaking class designed to help participants become more confident and effective communicators. SWFL Rotary Invests in the Comm…
Why does that matter to our business environment? Because strong businesses are built by people who keep learning.
A business owner who communicates more clearly, a nonprofit that reaches more people, or a team that better understands its agreements can create ripple effects throughout the community.
More Business Environment Learning Is Coming
SWFL Rotary is continuing the series at the Lakehouse Restaurant in Babcock Ranch.
