As Interim Economic Development Director Kay Tracy keeps a laser focus on the mission-critical goal of strengthening the County’s financial base by recruiting new industry that provides quality jobs for residents. In addition to her persistent and persuasive communications with industrial prospects, she implements key development efforts from marketing and research to incentives to workforce recruitment and training. She also directs community tours, performs site analyses and represents the EDO at industry events. Kay keeps the EDO team ahead of the game, as we compete for new business prospects.

At the EDO office Janet Johnson keeps all the balls in the air ensuring the Economic Development Office runs smoothly in her job as office manager. Additionally, she plays a key role assisting in the implementation of the Business Retention and Expansion program and assisting with the administrative tasks involving the Community Redevelopment Agencies and Advisory Board. Janet maximizes team results across multiple fronts.
