Celebrating a Business Built on Community
Charlotte County Economic Development proudly recognizes Chris Lansdale and the Charlotte County Beef ‘O’ Brady’s team with the Excellence in Business Award for leadership, sustained growth, and a deep commitment to community.
Nearly a decade ago, Lansdale transitioned from general manager to owner of the Taylor Street Beef ‘O’ Brady’s. At the time, the restaurant occupied just 3,000 square feet. Since then, he has intentionally grown the business into a 12,000-square-foot community gathering place filled with celebrations, connections, and shared experiences. In 2021, he opened a second location in Deep Creek. Today, a third location is already underway, reflecting growth guided by purpose rather than speed.
Growth with Purpose
Although expansion marks a significant milestone, this recognition goes beyond physical growth. Beef ‘O’ Brady’s stands out because it consistently puts people first. Over time, the restaurant has become a trusted place where families gather, teams celebrate victories, nonprofits host fundraisers, and neighbors connect. As a result, the business strengthens both the local economy and the social fabric of Charlotte County.
From the beginning, Lansdale approached growth with intention. Rather than chasing scale alone, he focused on building relationships, supporting local organizations, and creating a welcoming space for the community. Because of that approach, each new phase of expansion has reinforced the restaurant’s role as a community partner.

Over the past ten years, Beef ‘O’ Brady’s has contributed more than $160,000 to local causes across Charlotte County. Specifically, the business supports student athletes, school fundraisers, youth leagues, veterans’ organizations, health initiatives, arts programs, and nonprofit partners throughout the region.
Whether supporting Charlotte High School, Sallie Jones Elementary, local sports teams, or service organizations, Beef ‘O’ Brady’s consistently steps up. Moreover, when the community faces challenges — from economic pressures to severe storms — Chris Lansdale and his team respond without hesitation. Their guiding principle remains simple and consistent: If we can help, we will.
