Punta Gorda Airport Expands Capacity and Connectivity
Punta Gorda Airport is increasing both terminal capacity and market access. When the current Bailey Terminal expansion phase is completed in 2027, PGD expects to have 12 total gates, along with more spacious waiting areas, improved restrooms, additional public circulation space and expanded food and concession options.
New nonstop service between PGD and La Crosse, Wisconsin is scheduled to begin October 1, 2026. PGD provides commercial service and general aviation access near I-75, strengthening Charlotte County’s connectivity for employers, talent, customers and business travelers.

Punta Gorda Company Takes Security Technology Nationwide
STVS operates from a physical location in Punta Gorda and reports customers in more than 35 states. The company supplies and services advanced screening solutions, including millimeter-wave body inspection, full-body X-ray imaging and X-ray package and property inspection systems. STVS states that all price quotes are comprehensive and include shipping, installation, warranty and training, and that all services are performed by STVS employees with no third parties.
