Charlotte Technical College is a central part of Charlotte County’s education-to-employment system. Students can begin career-connected learning while still in high school, continue into specialized technical training, earn industry credentials where applicable, and move toward employment or additional postsecondary education.

Aviation & Aerospace

CTC’s aviation programs prepare students for employment and advanced training in commercial and general aviation. The college’s FAA-certified Aviation Maintenance Technician School supports Airframe and Powerplant pathways and connects technical training directly to Charlotte County’s aviation ecosystem.

Advanced Manufacturing

Charlotte County’s advanced manufacturing pipeline begins with career exposure and hands-on learning at Port Charlotte High School, then continues toward deeper technical preparation through CTC and the expanding regional training system.

Current Pipeline

Port Charlotte High School’s Advanced Manufacturing pathway introduces students to the field and identifies CTC as a continuation point for further preparation after graduation.

Expanding Training Capacity

The Southwest Florida Advanced Manufacturing Training Center, led by Charlotte County Public Schools and CTC, is being developed to support hands-on training in advanced manufacturing, CNC, welding, aerospace, and related technical fields.

Information Technology & Cybersecurity

CTC provides specialized training for technology careers that support businesses across nearly every industry. These programs create a continuation point for students introduced to cybersecurity and technology pathways in Charlotte County schools.
