Black Friday in Punta Gorda: 4 Delightful Days on the Harbor

Black Friday in Punta Gorda gets a waterfront twist this year. Fishermen’s Village is turning the holiday weekend into Black Friday Weekend at the Village, four days of shopping and dining from Friday, Nov. 27, through Monday, Nov. 30. Village management is inviting its independent shops, restaurants, boutiques and service businesses to take part.

Four Days of Black Friday in Punta Gorda

So far, participating businesses include ästhetik spa & skincare and Leroy’s Fish Shack. Organizers will announce more businesses and offers as they’re confirmed. Meanwhile, Small Business Saturday on Nov. 28 is a highlight of the weekend. The national day of support for small businesses falls every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Shopping runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Monday. On Sunday, hours are noon to 6 p.m. However, individual businesses may set their own hours, so check ahead if you have a favorite stop.

Fishermen’s Village sits on Charlotte Harbor at 1200 W. Retta Esplanade, with a marina, waterfront dining and places to stay. Punta Gorda Linear Park also runs right next door. That makes it easy to stretch your legs between stores.
