On Wednesday, October 21, our Business Retention and Expansion Manager, Mark Odell, joined the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce for its Third Wednesday Coffee. Members gathered at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center in Punta Gorda.

First, the Chamber welcomed its newest members to the front of the room. Each one is a business that chose to plant roots here. That deserves applause, and maybe a refill.

Ballot Topics on the Morning Agenda

Next, the program turned to two questions on the November 3 ballot. One is a school district referendum. The other is the proposed extension of the county’s 1% local option sales tax. One slide listed project areas such as road improvements, public safety facilities, and career and technical education.
