Hidden in Plain Sight: Punta Gorda’s STVS Takes Security Technology Nationwide

Tucked inside a Punta Gorda business park is a company working with security and corrections professionals across the country.
Secure Technology Value Solutions, better known as STVS, supplies and services advanced screening systems for corrections, law enforcement and rehabilitation facilities. According to the company, its technology is now used by customers in more than 35 states.
Inside its Punta Gorda operation, visitors will find full-body inspection systems, X-ray equipment for screening packages and property, and one particularly unexpected product: the DrugLoo Ranger.
The portable DrugLoo Ranger is designed to help trained personnel recover concealed substances and other items while limiting direct exposure. The stainless-steel unit carries its own water and power, allowing it to operate where traditional utilities may not be available.
STVS also offers millimeter-wave and micro-dose X-ray body inspection systems designed for specialized security environments. Its services extend beyond delivering equipment. The company provides installation, training, preventive maintenance and technical support. STVS says these services are performed by its own employees rather than third-party contractors.
That practical approach is shaped by experience. Members of the STVS leadership team have backgrounds in corrections, law enforcement, military service, technology and security operations.
During a recent business visit, Charlotte County Economic Development’s Mark Odell met with CEO Jamie Turco, COO Chris Pechtold, Director of Sales and Training Troy Harding and CAO Scott Factor. The visit included a closer look at the company’s equipment, operations and nationwide reach.
