State of Florida Executive Order 20-17, March 20
- All restaurants and food establishments within the State of Florida must suspend on-premises food and alcohol consumption for customers. Take-out and delivery still permitted.
- Restaurants may sell and may deliver alcoholic beverages in sealed containers for consumption off-premises.
- All gymnasiums and fitness centers have been ordered to close with the exception of hotels, residential buildings or office buildings.
State of Florida Executive Order 20-70, March 20, 2020
- Bars and nightclubs with seating of more than 10 people are to close on premise service in Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
- The order shall not apply to grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, and convenience stores.
- The order will remain in effect in accordance with the President “15 Day to Slow the Spread”, initiated on March 16, 2020. These closures shall expire on March 31. 2020.
State of Florida Executive Order 20-68 affecting Bars, Pubs and Nightclubs, Beaches, and Restaurants, March 17, 2020
All bars and nightclubs must close for 30 days as of 5pm on March 17, 2020. All parties gathering on public beaches in Florida must limit their gatherings to 10 people and distance themselves from other parties by a minimum of six feet. All restaurants must limit their occupancy to 50% of their capacity. Restaurants must ensure a minimum of six feet between seated parties.
FLHSMV COVID-19 Emergency Order 20-52, March 14, 2020
This order suspends enforcement of the registration requirements pursuant to sections 316.545(4) and 320.0715, Florida Statutes, for commercial motor vehicles that enter Florida to provide emergency services or supplies, to transport emergency equipment, supplies, or personnel, or to transport FEMA mobile homes or office style mobile homes into or from Florida; It Waives the hours of service requirements and apply emergency relief from regulations pursuant to 49 CFR 390.23 for such vehicles; It Suspends the enforcement of the licensing and registration requirements under the International Fuel Tax agreement (IFTA) pursuant to Chapter 207, Florida Statutes, and the International Registration Plan (IRP) pursuant to section 320.0715, Florida Statutes, for motor carriers or drivers operating commercial motor vehicles that are properly registered in other jurisdictions and that are participating in emergency relief efforts through the transportation of equipment and supplies or providing other assistance in the form of emergency services
FDOT Emergency Road Use Permit, March 13, 2020
Executive Order 20-52 and the Emergency Order issued pursuant to Executive Order 20-52 authorize the Department of Transportation to relieve the size and weight restrictions for divisible loads on any vehicles transporting emergency equipment, services, supplies, and necessary agricultural commodities in excess of the normal restrictions on weight, height, length, and width restrictions for such vehicles.
State of Florida Division of Emergency Management Order No. 20-002, March 11, 2020
Prohibits certain individuals from entering facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, adult family care homes, long-term care facilities and adult group homes. This order applies to anyone including visitors, staff and contractors.
FDOT COVID-19 Public Heath Emergency Order, March 13, 2020
Suspends the effect of any statute, rule, or order, as needed to allow the establishment of alternate size and weight restrictions for divisible loads on any vehicles transporting emergency equipment, services, supplies, and necessary agricultural commodities. This order shall expire on the earlier of the expiration or rescission of Executive Order 20-52 or April 12, 2020 unless extended by me.
State of Florida Division of Emergency Management Order No. 20-005, March 13, 2020
Suspends sections 393.13(4), 400.022(1)(b), 429.28(1)(d), 429.85(1)(d) Florida Statutes, for the particular purpose of prohibiting all individuals from visiting facilities in Broward County, Florida for thirty days from the date of this order. For purposes of this order, a facility includes nursing homes, assisted living facilities, adult family-care homes, long-term care facilities, and adult group homes.
State of Florida Office of the Governor Executive Order 20-52, March 9, 2020
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order Number 20-52, declaring a state of emergency because of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The state of emergency covers all of Florida and gives broad powers to state and local government agencies in responding to COVID-19. It will expire on April 8, 2020, unless extended.
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Emergency Declaration No. 2020-002, March 13, 2020
By execution of this Emergency Declaration, motor carriers and drivers providing direct assistance in support of relief efforts related to the COVID-19 outbreaks are granted emergency relief from Parts 390 through 399 of Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations, except as restricted herein. Direct assistance means transportation and other relief services provided by a motor carrier or its driver(s) incident to the immediate restoration of essential services, such as medical care, or essential supplies such as food, related to COVID-19 outbreaks during the emergency.
FLHSMV Order Related to Driver Licenses and Delinquent Fees, March 15, 2020
The Executive Director of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles authorizes the following: (1)Extend the effective period of driver licenses1 and identification cards with expiration dates of March 16, 2020, to April 15, 2020, for thirty (30) days. (2)Waive the delinquent renewal fees during the extension period for these driver licenses and identification cards.

Price Gouging Hotline
Attorney General Ashley Moody has activated Florida’s Price Gouging Hotline for all consumers in the state.
Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation in Florida very closely and following the Governor’s state of emergency declaration, our price gouging laws are now in effect. I have a rapid response team ready to immediately respond to allegations of price gouging and our Consumer Protection Division continues to look for scams by fraudsters who would use this situation to rip-off Floridians.
