Jayme Waters: Grounded in Charlotte County, Thriving as a Young Leader

For Jayme Waters, Charlotte County isn’t just where her journey began—it’s where she has chosen to build her future. “I was born in Charlotte County. My family moved to Ohio for a few years of my childhood but quickly made it back here. I have remained in Charlotte County and will continue to do so as this is where my family is established, and they are my anchors,” she shared.

Today, as a rising leader in her field, Jayme is making waves in her community while staying firmly rooted in the place she calls home.

Finding a Career That Connects

Jayme’s path to her current role was unexpected. “I never thought I would work in sales/consulting, but I have really come to enjoy meeting local business owners and learning more about their stories and how Integrity can lessen their burden so that they can continue to focus on working on their business,” she said. This passion for helping others has become a defining feature of her work.

Proud Moments and Leadership Growth

Among Jayme’s achievements, being recognized in Business Observer’s “40 Under 40” list stands out. “Being recognized in 40 Under 40 for Business Observer and, of course, being recognized here,” she said, reflects her pride in her accomplishments and the community’s acknowledgment of her efforts.

Her leadership is grounded in key qualities she values deeply. “Organization, discipline, compassion, and commitment” are what Jayme believes have helped her succeed in her role.

Overcoming Challenges as a Young Female Leader

Jayme has navigated challenges as a young female leader, including resistance to change in traditional systems. “Creating a new and innovative way of doing things in an arena where the old ways do work but can be improved upon has probably been the most challenging,” she explained. Her determination to bring fresh ideas while respecting existing practices has helped her earn respect in her field.

Family as the Foundation

Balancing her career with her personal life is a priority for Jayme. “Being a wife and mother will always be the most important role in my life,” she emphasized. She takes pride in being a role model for her daughter. “Being a role model to my daughter on how to put your family first while successfully balancing a career is one of my greatest accomplishments.”

Mentorship and Community Impact

Jayme credits her parents with shaping her strong work ethic. “Both of my parents have worked incredibly hard in very different ways to provide for their families. Both are business owners in Charlotte County and have taught me how to work hard and be dedicated from a very young age,” she shared.

Within her company, Jayme also finds inspiration from her CEO. “Integrity and Robert, our CEO, have taught me the importance of building a strong bench. Integrity has developed a team of what we call our number 1’s. This team is next in line as the leadership team at Integrity. Margarita Costa has worked with Integrity for 4 years now and has grown in her position with Integrity to be the sales department #1. She is an excellent addition to this organization, and I look forward to seeing her career continue to flourish.”

A Vision for the Future

Looking ahead, Jayme hopes to continue growing with Integrity while also finding time to travel with her family. “One day, if Robert ever retires, I would love the opportunity to serve Integrity as the CEO. Personally, I look forward to continuing to travel more with my husband, daughter, and immediate family.”

Her goals also include staying ahead of trends in the payroll industry. “Competition in the payroll space is certainly expanding with a lot of vendors offering online platforms. Integrity prides itself on being local, hands-on, and available when our clients need us. We will continue to look into additional service offerings to grow with our clients as they need access to additional services beyond our core functions of payroll and workers’ compensation.”
