40 Under 40 Nominations

Eligibility

  • Age: Nominees must be 44 years old or younger as of the nomination deadline.
  • Residency: Nominees must work in Charlotte County, FL (extra points if they graduated High School in Charlotte County)
  • Professional Achievement: Must demonstrate significant professional accomplishments or career advancements in their field.

Impact Criteria (REQUIRED)

All nominees must demonstrate at least one form of measurable impact. Strong candidates will show multiple.

Economic / Professional Impact

  • Revenue growth, business expansion, or cost savings
  • Job creation or workforce development contributions
  • Industry advancement or innovation with measurable results

Leadership Impact

  • Leading teams, initiatives, or organizations
  • Driving change, growth, or transformation
  • Mentoring or developing future leaders

Community & Emotional Impact

  • Active involvement in local nonprofits, boards, or initiatives
  • Measurable contributions to improving quality of life
  • Creating meaningful, lasting impact on individuals or groups

Innovation

  • Introducing new ideas, systems, or approaches
  • Solving problems in ways that create measurable outcomes

Selection Process

Nominations are reviewed and scored based on the criteria above, with a strong emphasis on documented impact over general statements.

Submissions that do not clearly demonstrate measurable impact may not be considered.


Why It Matters

40 Under 40 highlights the individuals who are driving Charlotte County forward, strengthening our workforce, supporting local businesses, and making this a place where people choose to build their careers and lives.


As of January 1, 2026, Charlotte County employees are not eligible for nomination.
